Ray Lowe – founder of the Event Group and now Honorary Chairman and Consultant. An enthusiastic specialist designer of audio systems, entertainment equipment and lighting. With 40 years’ experience of Events in Guernsey, Alderney, Herm and Sark (and even a few in Jersey!) he has an unrivalled knowledge of local venues and events which is of great benefit to planning any occasion, large or small.
Richard Moitie - Director. Client Services. Richard joined Event Services in 2015 after 25 years working in the UK Event industry and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the Company. His primary function is Client Manager, and ensuring the high reputation of Event Services is maintained.
Orlando Ornelas - Plant & Access Division Manager.. Someone who definitely punches above his weight. His keenness and attention to detail is legendary. He holds qualifications and certification for the entire fleet of vehicles, specialist lifting / transport and access equipment, and is probably the most experienced MEWP's operator in the Island.
Shaun Broughton - Manager of the Event Hire shop, based at the Jamaica Hall, Bouet. As a musician and [reputedly] a 'party animal' he is just the person to help you obtain the right kit for your party or any event. He also specialises in Audio-Visual equipment for Buniness meetings, seminars, etc.
Mario Ferreira - Manager of the Event Services department. With many years experience with Marquees and Events generally, together with a high level of dilligence and dedication to his work, he will ensure your important event is provided with the right products and level of service to ensure its success.
The Event Group relies heavily on carefully selected, professional staff; we are proud that we keep our key staff employed all year round (unlike many event companies who hire and fire – losing valuable experience at the end of each season). Throughout the ‘low’ season the staff are kept busy maintaining, checking and ensuring all the hire equipment is in first class condition. We operate in house and external training schemes and reward staff for additional qualifications or knowledge they acquire.
Despite all our collective years of experience, we realise there are some things we are best ‘delegating’ and am pleased to have a strong working relationship with “The Wedding Fairy” and ‘In Any Event’ who specialise in event décor, table and general linen, wedding favours, furniture covers, etc. by closely working together we can often reduce meeting times, costs, delivery charges etc. at most events.
